It’s basically a brightly-colored superhero fantasia where good is rewarded with victory and sustaining friendships, where doing the Right Thing results not in burden, compromise and tragedy, but in knowledge, wisdom and renewed optimism, and in which evil is not an unstoppable force without end, but the simple consequence of a lunk-headed refusal to behave with what we shamelessly earnest sentimentalists refer to as “simple human decency.” [x]

Happy 5th birthday to The Middleman, which began airing 16 June 2008.

Garbage Girls is a project of the photographer Maya Fuhr for Vice that shows messy girls in their messy bedrooms.

I wanna be a garbage girl! at least our house looks like that already.

this suits me well

i know so many girls like this <3

there are interviews with the girls, too:

Do you bring lovers into your place, and what do they think of the mess?
I bring boys home sometimes. If they complain I punish them.

Ok so, much as I LOVED the cancelled TV shows bit on the Tonys, what would have made it EVEN BETTER is Sutton Foster coming out and going “AT LEAST YOU ALL KNOW YOU’VE BEEN CANCELLED!”

She could have sung to the tune of I Don’t Know How To Love Him from Jesus Christ Superstar:

I don’t know if I’m cancelled
ABC, they won’t tell me.
I’ve been screwed, yes really screwed.
But I did get a, critic’s choice nomination.
So fuck you ABC.

The lyrics need a bit of work, but that would have been comedy gold. Missed opportunities…
